WCLV Changes

Could Ideastream and WCLV go for a translator in the Cleveland area that WKSU no longer wants to use?

If CC isn't going to use 106.1, than Conrad should go it or at least pursue how to go through the process.

An east side translator would be perfect for 'CLV. They need to try to win back the audience they lost through the changes back in '01 to 'KSU.

Speaking of Ideastream, could there possibly be more crossovers with the WCPN talent and that of 'CLV on both stations?

BTW, just for clarity's sake, WFMT in Chicago is still commercial, even though they are owned by WTTW, the major PBS station in Chicago, and have been for over 40 years. WFMT still airs real, honest-to-goodness spots that may be interepreted as underwriting due to their policy from day one in 1951 of not accepting any agency-recorded spots. Everything's either a live read or, if part of a recorded program, read by a station announcer. They do run pledge drives, which are identified as picking up the slack from the spots they don't accept (or the advertisers that don't want them) and their pledge drives are probably lower-key than any public station's pledge drives. But they are still technically a commercial station and may stay that way for a while, unless WTTW gets in severe financial trouble.
