What's the story at WCLZ? What's Portland like?

From All Access:

Program Director for AAA WCLZ
The Portland Radio Group, upon FCC approval, will acquire Portland, Maine’s heritage AAA station WCLZ. We are looking for a program director to nourish and enhance this great station. WCLZ is about the music and the Portland Radio Group, part of Saga Communications, always puts the product first! If you know the music, have the skills to lead a staff and craft a winning message then we should connect immediately. The Portland Radio Group offers a supportive atmosphere and excellent benefits, including the coast of Maine. Send your materials to:

Maybe the musical message for any prospective PD to figure out should be based on the target audience WCLZ is looking for?

Are the call letters going to remain the same...which will give established and future listeners the impression that very little will change? Or will the call letters be altered in favor of a younger demographic ???

Kind of difficult to tell based on the earlier job description, don't you think? :-\

Uh... no, it's not. Calls remain.

"There are none so blind as those who will not see." ;D

And Rover...STUPIDITY EXISTS IN ALL FORMS!

Your smart remark wasn't necessary.

Some feel the need to overcomplicate. I eschew those attempts at obfuscation. ;D

Saga has some AAA stations in thier stable I believe.. One in particular, Saga purchased a very financially successful AAA in WRSI in Northampton Mass. from Vox which I'm sure still performs quite well.
