WCMA-1560 Daleville returns to the air with...

After nearly a year of silence, WCMA is on the air with a gospel format.

This is apparently a LMA of some type as Perihelion Global is still the owner. The group's name was mentioned
in the sign-off but I didn't catch it with all the static from T-storms in our area.

I picked it up in Tallahassee this evening. It had a pretty decent signal.

I've been getting WCMA too.  This station comes in very well, on a portable radio, at my Church. It had a very moderate sounding signal when I last listened.

Their presentation was awesome and I loved it.

Their Wikipedia page is suspiciously up to date. It lists them with a southern gospel format, LMA'd by "T.O.P.S.", The Ordinary People Society. Odd name.

There seems to be some fishiness surrounding owners Perihelion Global. There's some interesting home videos on YouTube of people filming their bio facility and WCMA property. And their station up in Corinth I think was either fined or shut down due to lack of personnel on property. Strange.

IIRC, the WCMA calls used to be on AM 1230 in Corinth, MS back when 1560 in Daleville was still something like WTKN. Then it seemed like the two switched calls, or something like that. Also, I heard somewhere that at one time 1560 had a Country format.

The station was Southern Gospel before and after it went to Talk. I was there...
