WCOX and WYVC licenses dismissed by FCC

A friend passed along this information: the FCC dismissed both the licenses for the stations AND the STA to remain on air as untimely. This means the station must cease broadcasting. (The AM fell silent long ago.)

Chances the owner will take the station off the air? I'm thinking zero. Can anyone near Wilcox County check and see if he's still broadcasting illegally?

Time to spend some money on a good lawyer. It would have been cheaper to have :

#1. Filed the correct papers in a timely fashion

#2. Several years ago hired an experienced Manager, let him (her) run the station make it successful and then sold it that person.

#3 Sold or LMA'ed

#4 Donate station get tax credit

As it stands now unless they own and the land is very valuable, they are going to get very little for the equipment.
