Now that WMXI has vacated 98.1, TeleSouth Communications has filed an application to move the WCPR-FM transmitter approximately 7 miles north to the WAOY tower.

I’m glad they are getting a bigger tower but the signal coverage area is about the same little bit northern coverage area. The should’ve keep the power the same at 50kw and higher height like 1000 ft to give more coverage between Louisiana and Alabama.

I wouldn't be surprised to see an application for an increase in ERP after this application is approved.

Are there potential advertisers (example car dealers with big advertising budgets) in any of these areas? The reason I bring up car dealerships was back last century when I was interacting car dealerships they could tell you where their customers came from.

I don't know if the mega dealerships now allow sales folks to even talk or Email decision makers now. It's be my personal experience that independent new car auto dealers were easy renewals for contracts if you deliver some auto sales on the first flight of commercials.

I was gonna if this means better coverage in Hattiesburg. I hated how the signal would fade when you go to to the U.S. 49/98 interchange.
