WCRN - New Home for the Tornadoes

The Globe is no longer listing minor league games in its TV/radio listings. Do all the New England teams have radio outlets lined up this year?

Scott Fybush usually includes a run down of minor league baseball teams that have radio outlets in his weekly columns.

Speaking of newspaper TV/Radio listings, the Boston Herald still lists WWTM-AM 1440 in Worcester as a Celtics Radio affiliate. Of course the WWTM calls have not been around for quite some time. The correct calls are WVEI-AM. At least they still actually carry the Celtics games. Unlike the Herald's listings for the Red Sox which still has WCRN-AM 830 listed as a radio affiliate for the Red Sox.

To be fair, the decision by WCRN to drop the Red Sox was probably made not that long ago. Newspapers tend to be slow in updating radio listings anyway, so it could be awhile before it goes away in the Herald, especially since it's a Worcester station. As far as the Herald goes, anything that goes on beyond 128 might as well be in a foreign country as far as they're concerned...

I took WCRN off my presets last week. No need to have them now that the Sox are gone. There's nothing of any redeeming value on that station...
