I poked around and found some...I'm sure there must be more. All are licensed to markets smaller than Worcester AFAIK. Any corrections or additions would be appreciated.

Another 50 kW-U Class A AM licensed to a city that, though a state capital, has, AFAIK, a lot less population than Worcester, is KAAY Little Rock AR. I had thought of KAAY when I wrote my earlier post commenting on your list, but then it slipped my mind.

Also, what about WDCD? Albany is probably a little smaller than Worcester population-wise, although Albany, Schenectady, and Troy, taken together, must be quite a bit larger than Worcester.

Just to our south, there's also WALE 990, which serves Providence but is licensed to Greenville, RI, with a 50 kW directional day signal (5 kW night) that beams mainly just southeast over Providence and then out to sea.

If you lived in Rhode Island you would realize exactly how much of a joke that radio station is known to be around there. It's the station with the 50,000 Watt signal which can barely be heard clearly in the next town. It's called WALE because only the fishes can hear it....LOL. That signal goes straight to Boats and open water. Don't even get me started about how they can barely stay on the air. Off for six months and then on for three months. I think they are airing foreign language programming these days. Even when they were an English speaking format they could barely pull in a half a share in the Providence ratings. These guys have NEVER been a success at Radio under any ownership. That bad signal just kills them.
