Now it appears the only station in Greater Boston without a real web site is WPLM!

Are you sure? What about WRCA? And WNTN?

In my mind they are not even attempting to be comptetive players in the market.

WPLM is.

What you mean is "Oops, sorry, my bad; I wasn't thinking of them because they are not trying to compete in the market outside of their highly specialized niches."

I hope you realize how ridiculous you make yourself look when you make a statement that is clearly wrong and then change the rules of the game after the fact instead of apologizing for your error and moving on. What you decided to do instead is not a way to enhance your credibility!

Yeah....that....

There are rules to this game?? <shrugs>

What error? They are not players in the market and are not competitive. I don't think they attempt to be. They are not attempting for a mass appeal audience.

Speaking of credibility...what time has WCCM been signing off. Have you been keeping an eye on that?

Dan, google is your friend. Both of the stations you mentioned do have websites:

http://www.wntn.com/
http://www.1330wrca.com

Jeff: Please stop reminding me about Google. I have Google set up as the home page in Internet Explorer on two PCs; I have also installed the Google toolbar on both of these PCs; and my guess is that in a typical week I make two dozen Google searches. It's just that I don't research EVERYTHING I post about, with the result that I sometimes make mistakes, as I did this time. Maybe you are a Google shareholder. If so, you've probably made quite a killing. But it is not necessary to flog to death the importance of searches. Maybe it's wrong to shoot from the hip and as a result, to be wrong from time to time, but I don't think so--as long as one admits when he is wrong, as I did above. For all that Google is an increible tool, searches can be quite time consuming and I think it is just wrong to expect everybody to research every topic they post about.

BTW, if I had said that WAZN (and WLYN) do not have Web sites of their own, I believe I would have been correct. Yes, the parent company, MRBI, has a site and both stations are listed on it. And yes, the stations have dedicated pages at several third-party "local business" sites, but AFAIK, these sites are not controlled by the stations.

WCRN-AM 830 has finally launched their updated website.

http://www.wcrnradio.com/

Where are Upton Bell and Rich "Roving Radio Racentour" Teter? I love listening to them but as Blute says things that make you go hhhmmm. I saw a few pics of Upton Bell at McFaddens on CRN's site, but I guess I'll have to go to Upton Bell dot com for web content.
http://www.uptonbell.com/
and the T and G website for Rich Teter.

Great to see they have a website. Too bad they don't have listeners

What you mean is "Oops, sorry, my bad; I wasn't thinking of actually looking something up before I posted a criticism of someone else."

I hope you realize how ridiculous you make yourself look when you make a statement that is clearly wrong when attempting to zing someone else.

;-)

I deserve that. I do look rather foolish, but I did apologize in the post from which you quoted. I did think about googling WRCA and WNTN before I hit the Post button, however; I just didn't do it because I didn't think I could be wrong. Well, I was wrong and I've apologized for my error. Wasn't the first time; very unlikely that it will be the last. I never suggested that you should grovel and I don't intend to do so either.

Thanks for being a good sport!

We need more lightheartedness here. ;-)
