WCSC Live 5 News and Direct TV

WTOC in Savannah is having the same issue. Is this a CBS only thing or is DirecTV trying to screw stations over? (much like their customers...but I digress)

I've seen this quite a bit in markets over the last 5 or so years. In only rare cases does DirecTV and the station actually can't come to terms it seems.

This impacts all Raycom stations. WIS, WBTV, and the new Myrtle Beach station will also be affected,

I have done satellite work for 33 years in South Carolina for Direc, Dish, Teecom, Primestar, and a few others along with 6 years for cable TV in south Florida I would never trust Directv or Dishnetwork too far. I am sure they will find an agreement one way or another unless Direc wants a ton of phone calls.

WTAT (FOX 24) & WMMP (MyTV 36) is going through the same thing with Time Warner.

I saw that just yesterday while watching football. Wasn't it just last year or two years ago they needed to re do a new deal? As I remember seeing it before.

According to DirecTV, the carriage agreement automatically renewed until December 31, 2011.

Don't know who is less reputable, DirecTV or Raycom. Certainly they are almost neck and neck.
