WCSH to launch HD news Monday

Sister station WLBZ converted in the last few days, and in fact I notice that tonight's NewsCenter on both stations is originating from Bangor, presumably to aid in WCSH completing its own conversion. So far, at least, they're only HD in the studio. WGME is preparing a much more elaborate HD rollout in December.

The Portland crew made the trek up I-295 and I-95 then? Do the two stations ever do newscasts on their own or are they always coming from Portland's Congress Square?

Actually the WLBZ team did the newscast (Chris Facchini, Steve McKay, Melissa Kim.) Under ordinary circumstances WLBZ does its own newscasts at 5 and 6PM weekdays; all other newscasts on both WLBZ and WCSH originate from One Congress Square.
