WCSZ Greenville SC 1070am now in Spanish

Got my first South Carolina AM station here in Kansas late this afternoon! Spanish language programming was booming in - wasn't sure initially what it was but then heard several street names in Greenville SC (Wade Hampton Blvd, White Horse Road) that I remember from when I lived there almost 30 years ago. I guess the 50,000 daytime power was still on and this station has gone to Spanish programming. This is my 16th logged station on 1070.

Yup....and they have been BLASTING into Kentucky ALL night long for a week, or more, now. Obviously, they are not powering down nor going to their night pattern of late. They even cover up WFNI which normally "owns" 1070 at night in these parts.

Noticed the same thing. WFNI has been blasted by WCSZ every hour but daytime.

heard them fairly well between 5-6pm central tonight from Nashville...

So that's who I heard a few days ago. It was throwing a great signal up to Ottawa to0. I listened for an hour and really liked what I heard. They seem to play the whole range of music in Spanish.
