The latest information I have heard regarding Pensacola / Mobile is that WBPG (WB 55) will become the new CW affiliate, and WJTC (UPN 44) will go back to independent, although those are just predictions. It seems a lot of experts believe WBPG will get it.
I know this is a radio board, but if you would like to discuss television in greater detal, let me recommend FL News Center. Their address is
www.flnewscenter.com, and they cover television from all over Florida. (Please note, due to some threatnening lawsuits from Gray Communications and some other companies, the owner has temporarilly taken down the actual site itself, but when you go to it there is a link to their discussion board which is still up and running and is full of information about all the TV stations in the state. He has a message on the site explaining why the site is temporarilly down). Check it out when you get a chance.
