WCVB to start broadcasting in HD starting Monday!!

It's finally going to happen! Starting Monday at 5PM, WCVB will be broadcasting its news in crystal-clear High-Definition! Now I REALLY wish I had an HD set.

Maybe it will make Natalie look a little younger! :-\ LOL

Natalie in HD? Ewwwww!

All joking aside, wasn't WCVB one of the first HD stations in all of New England? I seem to recall them running HD demos of their news programs and Chronicle at the Museum of Science several years ago - back before anyone even had HD sets.

It surprises me that their news is only now in HD.

Only studio portion of their newscasts is in HD. All news reports and B-rolls are still in 4:3 SD.(you get dark blue sidebars). I don't understand why they didn't get HD videocameras for their news photogs like they use for Chronicle stories.

I still can't decide who has a better hair color job - Harding or Nat...:)

WCVB-DT (ABC) was THE first digital TV station in New England. Period.
