WCVB's "Sandy" coverage

I'm watching WCVB's hurricane coverage. Former WBZ meteorologist Mish Michaels just reported for them from one of the coastal communities.

They had announced about 8pm that they were going to continue hurricane coverage right up through the 11pm news. At about 8:50pm, they said they would suspend coverage at 9pm and join ABC programming. Even they realized there was nothing left to report at that point....plus Governor Patrick had announced that the worst was over.

WVIT-TV (NBC) channel 30 of New Britain/Hartford did that same thing. "Days Of Our Lives" and "Today" were on channel 30-2 today (in 4:3 SD), which is usually their Weather Plus service.

I imagine ABC was leaning heavily on them to move Dancing with the Stars (and Castle) back to 5.1.

WBZ had moved CBS primetime programming to MyTV 38 to allow them to continue coverage, but swapped them at 9:00pm, with the hurricane coverage moving to 38 and CBS programming going back to 4.
