I was looking at the new R&R Ratings Directory, which breaks down the fall Arbitrons, and was surprised to see that WCVO was the 4th ranked station among teens, behind (in order), CKX, NCI & BZX. After that, CVO's highest rank was at the other end of the age spectrum, 35-64, where they were 9th in AQH. So it's kind of an interesting listener coalition, although the teens rule. (Other demos ranked from 11th to 14th).
Again, the breakdowns R&R provides were from Fall. Since CVO's 12+ is up by almost a point in winter -- ahead of several full-signal traditional heavy-hitters, perhaps they've climbed to third in teens now, ahead of the Blitz (just a guess).
Any thoughts on whether teens is what CVO, and similar formats typically depend on and target?<P ID="signature">______________
