WCWN: CBS6 EXPANDS 10PM NEWS to HALF HOUR

WCWN Channel 45, Channel 43 RF Schenectady has had its 10PM newscast expanded to a half hour from the original 10 minutes. The program is produced by the sister station; CBS6, WRGB One complaint has surfaced from Ken Schott, a sports columnist for the Daily Gazette who takes them to task for not having a sports segment. It would seem to me that at the time the sports report would air, there are not that many final scores in yet, and not much in the way of highlights packaged to air. It would seem to me that the best thing to do would be have a crawl across the screen of latest scores, along with headlines of things like players being traded, injured, diciplined, etc.
