Anyone have any idea what is gonna become of this station format wise since WCLZ is going to Saga?

93.5 in waterville buys it and simulcasts
JJ Jeffery buys it and expands the big Jab or does something productive with it
whoever buys clear channel buys it and incorperates it into it's augusta fold
Dick Gleason buys it
Nassau buys it for the WEEI network
a new group comes in and buys it

just a few things to throw out there

Bring back WAYU! "Hit Country for the Heart of Maine" with such luminaries as Ken Silva, Mac Dixon, Brian Perry and good ol' Frankie "P" Pietroski! That'll kick those POR and Wolf people right in the ankes! Just like it didn't do in 1985!

Why did it break away from WCYY-FM 94.3 of Biddeford/Portland to begin with?

It's being sold because of the ABC Radio/Citadel merger; WCYI was grandfathered in.

While WCYI is in a trust, it isn't allowed to simulcast its former sister station WCYY. So, WCYI began simulcasting its current sister station, WCLZ. Not sure what will happen once WCLZ is disposed of, perhaps they will begin simulcasting another Last Bastion sister station like urban AC KOKY or talk KBZU.

I think it would be a great companion to WTOS considering it has lost its coverage for the most part to the south due to WJZP but that is an unlikely outcome.

Great..."The Country Hit Kicker"....or bring back "94 Rock" for that matter. Does anyone else remember that disaster?????

Weren't there some big names of 94 Rock? Greg Murray springs to mind. I loved the recorded promos that always ended with (deep voice guy)"94...........Rock." Suspenseful!
