if what i'm hearing on my radio is correct....WCYI 93.9 is now simulcasting WCLZ, no mention of the simulcast however, I wonder if they're going to cover the WCYI calls in the legal ID until they change the calls or find a permanent format?

Scott Fybush mentioned a local owners intrest.Atlantic Coast "JJ" is the only one not maxed out.I'm guessing that if he bought them 'CLZ would remain similar and 93.9 would become 'RED HOT 93.9 & 95.9" or maybe"RED HOT 95.9 & 96.3",and move WLOB-FM to 93.9.It would cover greater Portland pretty well with a mono signal. Any thoughts?

There's money in bringing "Red Hot 95.9" to Lewiston. This is a town that likes hip-hop. I'm not sure what the benefit (financially) of an FM talker would be--especially when Lewiston already has a local AM news/talk station.

But I agree--it would make sense for Atlantic to purchase the two stations.

a rhythmic CHR/Hip Hop station north of portland might work, I'm a little too north of the signal to ever hear it but when I do it sounds okay, I just wonder if advertisers would buy (after listening to WLOB for a while, they don't seem to have alot of actual paid commercials)

Atlantic could come in and buy the 2, also mentioned a few months ago were the owners of 93.5 in waterville to make it a southern end of WCTB, but someone out of left field could buy, like Entercom (WEEI North), Vox or Cumulus...or someone else as a stand-alone group.
