WDDM 89.3's back on the air!!! it's dhoomed!!!

wddm, aka dhoom fm has relaunched. that's right folks, if you loved overly modulated indian dance music, then you'll love dhoom fm. in fact, they relaunched using the same jingle, promos and of course, using the late Ed Beck's voiceovers. Apparently they never went away, just online only. I have no idea where they're originating from this time. I guess Domestic Church Media lost this one... I seem to have forgotten just how powerful a 9 watt station atop a high tower on hwy 34 on the aberdeen/holmdel border really is... I mean, I heard them all the way into Piscataway, Franklin Park and as far southwest on the tpk approaching just shy of exit 7a...

they're playing dance music, mixing in bollywood w/ kevin lyttle's turn me on.. you'd think they'd try something different like, say perhaps.... current mainstream dance/house/techno/electronica. but no, back to bombay!!!

i wish i was old enough to remember the WVRM days. I think I was only 6 when they switched to WCNJ.... I really wish WCNJ's call letters could be resurrected again and try things differently this time. To banish that WCNJ curse once and for all. WVRM's calls belong to 91.9 in Montclair. I only hope that one day again, 89.3 will be local again. :)

Til then, let me shake my Bollywood.... :)
