Which means I, at least, must rely on WCBS to provide me with the semi-famous CBS news sounder at the top of every hour* from now on, a) since WILM has dropped CBS b) WPHT doesn't carry TOH CBS newscasts during significant dayparts and c) Washington's 1500 am IIRC has dropped CBS, too.
Ixnay, I know what you mean about missing the CBS tone after hearing it locally for 30+ years.
WCOJ - 1420AM, West Chester still runs CBS at the top of the hour. You can get your "tone fix" there as WCOJ penetrates into at least most parts of Northern New Castle County fairly well.
I've tuned in a few times, but have not noticed any change in WDEL's newscasts during morning drive time that feature any CBS radio feeds ( however, I'm not a regular listener to WDEL and might not have noticed the change).
Did WDEL actually start airing CBS features yet. If so, what features and when are they aired.
