WDEL running Laura Ingraham at 9am

I heard the beginning of Laura Ingraham's show on Tuesday morning at 9am. Did not check in during the rest of the day to see how the remaining day schedule is impacted. Perhaps it will mean less airtime for Fulcher in the afternoon. That would be a good thing for WDEL.

Not sure what you heard, but they are running Mascetti this morning.
The website still lists Mascetti doing late morning and Ingraham in early evening (Tuesday-Friday). When WDEL lost Rush, they announced they would take Ingraham live in the late morning slot and then signed Mascetti instead.
Maybe yesterday, somebody pushed the wrong button and took the TRN feed off the bird.

Ratings out this month. All bets may be off. WDEL is sounding increasingly like the old WILM and the old WDEL consistently kicked the old WILM's butt. But when PPM comes to Wilmington, we may find out how few people REALLY listen to either station.

WDEL's running of Laura was intentional, as it sounded to me. Just before 9am, someone local said "Up next, the Laura Ingraham show." Maybe Al couldn't make it in on time or something.

Curious. They don't run Laura on Monday nights. Maybe Al now has a deal where he only works a four day week and they plug in Laura on Mondays. They get Laura from TRN and run Jerry Doyle from TRN. WILM still lists Michael Savage from TRN on their website - not Mark Levin (yet). ABC is pushing Levin on a lot of Hannity affiliates (it's not just WDEL), and lot of them were/are carrying Savage. Some more talk radio changes in Wilmington may be coming.

I too noticed the absence of Al yesterday and called WDEL. The receptionist told me that WDEL was having a company wide meeting including Al so they ran Laura Ingram's show, but Al would be back Wednesday.

I guess they don't record his shows so they can do Best of Al any time.

Actually, I've never heard any of the local talkers on either WDEL or WILM doing best of shows. They always have a substitute host. I was surprised that they aired Laura Ingram rather than having one of their fill in hosts for Al.

Hmm. Big time staff meeting. Everybody MUST attend.
Maybe something is up.
Year-end financials will have closed. Fall ratings coming soon.
Stay tuned.
