Ken Squier, a champion of radio, racing and Vermont, dies at 88 - VTDigger

Squier was best known in Vermont as the owner of WDEV Radio, the Waterbury-based network, and founder of Thunder Road Speedbowl, the Barre race track. He was the first journalist inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame.

WDEV AM 550 and FM 96.1 is a unique radio operation. I wonder how the owner's passing will affect it?

Lots of news, sports and agriculture info. Local talk shows, different music formats depending on the daypart. CBS News on the hour. I hope whoever is in charge will continue the commitment.
