https://radioinsight.com/headlines/188810/wdha-fm-afternoon-host-curtis-kay-has-died/

According to Beasley Curtis Kay has died from Lung Cancer complications.

Beasley Media Group announces legendary WDHA-FM On Air Personality Curtis Kay has passed away following a three and a half year battle with lung cancer.

A beloved brother, uncle and friend, Kay was a gentle man with a kind heart who was loved by many his listeners and WDHA family. His passion for radio and desire to become a radio disc jockey began at the young age of 13, while sitting on the stoop of his family’s Long Island home, listening to Dan Ingram on his small transistor radio.

The 40-year radio veteran launched his career in 1980, when Howard Stern hired him to work at WRNW in Westchester, New York. Kay eventually joined WDHA-FM within the same year, where he went on to play the best classic rock for WDHA’s loyal listeners for nearly four decades.
