I noticed WDIA's ratings seem to be slipping. What gives?

Honestly, if they did, that would explain the sudden drop. AM-HD is dogsqueeze.
They have been at low power while rebuilding the array for sometime.
They filed an extension on 11/16 to continue at low power while the work proceeds.

Bingo. That explains a LOT. Also, that explains to some degree of why they are now going FM. They can't afford to loose any more marketshare with one of their prized stations so they'll let it have FM. To be honest, its a great thing that it HAS taken them this long. I don't think CC would have bothered to let them have an FM if they the AM could have produced as good of ratings as in the past. It's all about the numbers....
