WDIV debut date of Jeopardy!

When did WDIV in Detroit start carrying the current version of Jeopardy!? I checked the Toledo Blade listings for September 1984, but I couldn't find it. All I found was that it premiered on WTOL in Toledo on September 10.

It didn't. WRC-TV carried the premiere and sometime afterward it went to WJLA. I believe most NBC O&O's ran it at the beginning.

EDIT: Sorry, my dyslexia seems to have kicked in. I thought you were referring to WDVM in Washington, not WDIV in Detroit. My mistake.

Thought I'd return the favor after messing up the first time. It looks like Jeopardy! was sold to WDIV at its launch in 1984.

As to when it was actually first aired by the station, I have no clue. However, it definitely was cleared to that affiliate at that year's NATPE convention.

September 10, 1984 was the debut date, which is presumably when it also showed up on every other station.

In my area(Philadelphia), it first aired on KYW-3(then NBC, now CBS O&O) at 12:30 pm. In December 1986, it moved to 7 pm on WPVI-6(ABC),
where it still airs today.
