WDJO Carrying Miami RedHawks Basketball

Just dialed in this morning and heard the Miami RedHawks - Bowling Green baasketball game being carried on WDJO - 1480 A.M. I hadn't heard anything about this beforehand and there is nothing about it on the station's website. Apparently with WPFB AM & FM no longer a part of the Miami Sports Network, a decision was made to try and get better reception into the immediate Cincinnati area by adding WDJO. I did note that WMOH in Hamilton is also carrying the game just as that station has in the past.

They came to us first. We didn't have the time available so i turned them over to WDJO. IMG sports produces the games and buys the block of time.

IMG does a great job on the Red------errr Hawk----errrr--- no Redskins---err Redhawks-- I was very impressed with the sound of the games!

May I ask - and in all respect - who is "us"?

I think the Miami Sports Network has done a very nice good for quite a few years. It's best when those broadcasts are available on station(s) with good reception - particularly after sunset.

The IMG guy was making calls to several stations in the market when he found out about the WPFB change. WDBZ and CC was approached before anyone else.
