WDJO is on fire

I agree that they could be near a 2.0 share in the summer book. I know it's just a trend, but it's a good sign for them. This station is the ultimate power in the universe. I suggest we use it.

I have to agree, WDJO is an excellent oldies station. And on am radio! I live in West Central Indiana and listen on line. It puts our local oldies stations to shame.

I would be curious to know the demand for a product that seemingly targets 50 plus in an 18-49 world.

I have it on good authority that it's on track to bill a very reasonable amount of money this year, not from agencies, but from local direct business. The only problem selling oldies is at the agency level.

Will we hear any more familiar names on WDJO?Tonight I thought I heard Joe Demma do a voiceover for The Crystal Pallace in Fairfield. Last I heard he was working at a station in Dayton, OH.I'm guessing Dan Allen can fill-in on WDJO because he isn't on a competing station, even though he still works for CC. Can anyone set me straight on this? Thanks!

Let me echo what someone else said here...Go Dusty go!

I don't know the man but I was really impressed that he mentioned my name on the air after I emailed him back when he was on 1530. I'm in Charlotte so I couldn't do him any good in the ratings. He was still nice enough to mention me on the air. I was in the shower and almost dropped the soap!

Dusty and the rest of the team have made WDJO a really great sounding station!

I listen to Oldies 1160 on the web. The only problem I have is it skips. Anyone else having that problem?

When you say "skipping", do you mean buffering? I've had no problems streaming WDJO's audio but I have a high speed connection.

Since Joe Demma was referred to in a couple of posts above, I just wanted to say that I heard him doing a shift on WDJO Sunday afternoon, after Craig Roberts' Elvis show, and before Big Joe London.

I noticed that WDJO upped thier streaming from 32Kbps to 40Kbps a couple months ago. It sounds better but 40kbps is a bit too high for many dial-up connections to handle and causes rebuffering, even if they connect around 56K.
