WDJO/Oldies 1160 Cinci

Always fun to listen to. Sounds like they're genuinely having fun too.

Because Chicago no longer has an oldies station (only pallid impostors such as True Oldies), I listen to the always excellent 1160 on line

Great online alternative if I'm bored with what's on XM and Sirius. Many of the people from the old 1530. Pretty much the same sound and feel, too.

This station is AWESOME picking up where "Real Oldies" WSAI left off.

My congrats to "Trusty Dusty" and Mr. Kaufmann making it a force to be reconed with.

I listen whenever I can and Cool Booby B is at home with us. We remember classic Top 40 the way it was meant to be.

Oldies here in the Miami Valley is now limited to WSWO, a low power FM Huber Heights with a translator at 101.5...which I might add seems to help the little non commercial staton considerably. Their building a studio and hope to have live volunteer personalities on soon...but in the meantime WDJO is still the best.

I hope sometime down the road they will add "Little Walter's Time Machine" and The Best of Wolfman Jack.

Dusty and Brian:
There's a kid up in Cleveland who does an awesone oldies show on a college station and has been for several years.

Joe Madigan re-creates "WIXY-1260" with his Wednesday evening 60s program "Retro Radio" on WJCU 88.7 FM and online at:

http://www.wjcu.org.

Joe is entering his final year at John Carrol University later this year and we will miss his show when he graduates.

Give this talented kid a job! ..he's a decent individual too with a passion for the oldies. His website is:

WDJO rules..keep up the groovy work Dusty and crew!

I LOVE this station and hope that these guys can make it, but the latest book showed some low numbers, 0.70, so I just hope they can hold on. But the sound, the energy, and the enthusiasm is certainly still there. These guys are NOT the 35 yr olds trying to pronounce the names of sixties artists that they read about in a book. These guys played the hits WHEN they were hits, and some of us "older folks" really appreciate that.

I agree with FRR. Genuine love for the music shows through.
