as for Charlie-- I was not a part of that decision. I do know that CVD can be expensive for a station operating on a slim margin. I can't imagine there could be any other reason.

I'm still peeved Petticoat Junction was cancelled years ago! Oh wait, that's television!

As for radio, I can't believe in the year 2012 format changes are being made to stations across the country. Who do these people think they are? We can't have change! Everything should stay the same. No radio station should change for any reason, even if they aren't making money. Stay the course! Just watch out if an Iceberg gets in the way.

As Marty stated CVD can be expensive. I'm a huge Van Dyke fan. When I worked the Raleigh market at then oldies WTRG we had CVD. His rate in 00 was $900/ month for market 43.

Charlie does quite a bit of TV affiliate work. He and I have the same promo agent. CVD is just fine. As for CVD and oldies, a perfect match. Another fave of mine for the format is Jeff Laurence.
