Will 1160 go Oldies?

WDJO was the tri-state's first Oldies station on AM 1230 between 1985 and 1990. It's where Marty Thompson worked. Rumors I've heard involve an LMA. If the person I heard about is involved, it could be Oldies. But, what do I know?

From the FCC web site

It figures the Call Sign Changes page is down, but on the Call Sign Query I found this: "Call Sign WDJO is not available. A request for WDJO dated 11/29/2005 has been filed by CHRISTIAN BROADCASTING SYSTEM, LTD.."

The FCC approved the sale on 11/08/05. Tomorrow will be approximately 90 days since the approval. Shouldn't the new owners be taking over real soon?

WTSJ changing too

WTSJ will become WCVX. The stations owned by this company are called "Victory." Looks like it's "Cincinnati's Victory 1050." Here's the Christian Broadcasting web site: http://www.cbsl.biz/

Damn! I was hoping the first song played would be Warren Zevon "Mohammed's Radio". We had the legendary Q & EBN Battles in the 80's, News Wars, Country Skirmishes, and the Bloody Oldies Onslaught a few years back.

We haven't had a good Holy war.. Imagine the mascots of WCVX and WNOP battling the mascot of that one. Whooo boy, the cartoons would be to die for.

We still could have a Holy War if the Protestants on 1050 want to rumble with the Catholics on 740.

Oldies on 1160 is wishful thinking, but I did hear a rumor.

As for the detective work, I got nothin' else to do but sleep.

I wonder if people will confuse the calls WCVG 1320 with WCVX 1050? That could cause a holly war itself..
