WDJS 1430 Mount Olive

A million years ago, I worked there while spending a semester at Mount Olive Jr. College. At the time, they were 1kw day only. I understand they've put up a several-tower array and are now on 24/7. Is this so, and what's their format? When I was there, it was 100% block programmed with an amazing lashup of older equipment!

Mount Olive...and no one's done the Popeye joke yet. Hmm...

Popeye wouldn't want to get in a pickle, now would he?

...because he eats his spinach.. He's Popeye the sailor man!

The station used to be just outside the town limits diagonally from the Mt. Olive pickle factory. Some days, the vinegar smell would be pretty intense!
