WDKN to add FM station

Firepoint, What is that frequency? I can't find it anywhere on their website, or the FCC's for that matter

Thanks

Evidently, they've taken down that article since I posted the link to it last week. Does seem like 101.5 is in a rather busy part of the FM dial here in middle/west Tennessee.

I concur with letting them take over 97.1! ;D

Here is the FCC link to what I believe is the first step in the moving process.

https://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/w...t=25&appn=101390219&formid=349&fac_num=140472

Smarter engineer types like Watt can speak with more authority than I can, but if I understand the process it will take several such applications and build-outs as they methodically leap frog it southward toward Dickson. To keep each application a minor change (easier to get through the FCC) it will be a slow process. Each time they apply to move it further south they must keep the 'then' licensed and 'new' proposed 60 dbu contours overlapping.

Thanks, jetfli, I like to keep a running list of stations and formats

WDKN is the subject of a front-page article in this week's Westview. If you live anywhere between west Nashville and Dickson, you have probably already seen it, but if not, you can see it at www.westviewonline.com. Interestingly, no mention of their (coming) FM station in this article; only about how small community-minded and community-owned AMs have survived.
