WDLW's greatness

Lorain/Oberlin/Elyria station WDLW 1380 AM is a real jewel. Their "Cool Cat Oldies" format is the most interesting one going. They play everything from the 1950s through, not just the early 1970s, but all the way up to 1980. I even remember a long time ago hearing a couple of early 1980s tracks. It is very impressive that they do it themselves and have many live and local DJ's. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is sometimes they have fairly long segments of talk.

They do have a great format and line-up of programs. A friend of mine does the Sunday polka variety shows on there. From where I live in Vermilion, the station pretty much disappears into the slop at night when they drop to 57 Watts. I would love it if they had an FM translator on a frequency such as 93.5 that is open in this area so I could listen at night too from here without a bunch of interference.

I think there is a full power station across the lake in Ontario on 93.5.....don't know if a WDLW could get that frequency...unless it was something like 100 watts or so. And, maybe directional.
