I've got a radio colleague here who once worked for WDOD and still has connections in radio in Chattanooga.
If he tells me anything more, I'll add it here.

He said he didn't think it was a storm..but some weak points around the base. He was going to try to find out some more info.

He sent me the Chattanoogan info earlier today.
