Anyone remember the good old days of great radio in the 80's?

WDRC is the closest thing to anything remotely resembling an oldies station. We should enjoy it while it lasts.

There was a rumor that WXCT 990 was gonna flip to Oldies in July 2008 when CAB Radio's LMA expired, but the two people who were going to LMA are afraid that the station would make enough money for it to be run the way they want it. (Live DJs all day long with a couple specialty shows on the weekend). And to Paul Walker I know you read and post on this board. Please do not post the names of the parties of who was going to LMA the station in July 2008.

Close? Well, I guess so. If you have HD2 you can listen to something that more resembles the "Big D" version of DRC-FM on their HD2 signal, although their audio as about as bad as their main channel. There's always WREF 850AM running the "All Scott Shannon Oldies Channel" if that's you thing, too. I think B103FM on the Island is still oldies and can be heard in Fairfield County, although it's been awhile since I listened. I've given up on over the air oldies and just listen to my own stream now.

Re: WDRC FM Hi There

Hey Chris560 and DJ Jim Wayne.
Great to hear from you. Still alive and doing well behind the old mic. Can't stop now. Yeah, the oldies are going, but the demo's have to drop to make a dime. It's too bad. Dug up some old airchecks today with the old WDRC (WABC) jingles. Wow!

Hey Ken! Sure is good to know you're still up in the north country and doing well! Last time we saw each other was in Keene, I think! Been a while. I'll drop you an email with my contact info. Sure would love to catch up!
