WDRD 680 "Radio Disney"

If AM had a better chance it would be a wonderful signal. Besides 840 and 970, it has the best AM signal coverage day and night. I'm sure Disney would want a "Fantasyland" price for the facility.

I recall back when that signal had the cnn news feed and also a pat buchannan talk show with bob beckel in fact i remember back in 1994 when the chick named susan smith says her kids were kidnapped and she said it was a red pickup truck i remember pat buchannan saying keep a look out for the truck then it ended up she drowned them in her car :(:(:(

I listened yesterday around 4 and it was still Radio Disney. There sure will be some mad kiddos today. Who knows what the consequences might be...

I told my daughter last night when I talked to her it was changing....I seriously thought she was gonna cry. :'(

I just told her that when are around as long as I am, you get used to it and to consider it a life lesson.

My radio 80 miles north of the river has ESPN playing on it too...that is until I turned it off.

I doubt any kids between 5-12 years of age were listening to AM radio.

You would be mistaken. Phones were quite busy this morning.

Hello ESPN on 680 today. Louisville has another sports station.
Wonder if they will have anything local?
What would be great is if The Cincinnati Reds (The 2010 NL Central champs!) could be on 680. Then you could actually hear the games in Louisville!
I do hope that they broadcast the MLB postseason.

ESPN Radio has the national MLB Radio Package. but the question is who is carrying the reds games in Louisville now that 1450 AM is off the air.

Cool Oldies 1570 picked up the Reds about a month ago. It's a good signal during the day, but the night time signal doesn't get out of Jeffersonville.

680 has a better coverage at night. It would be great if they could increase their power and become a larger player on that end of the AM spectrum for both daytime & night time.

Radio Disney AM/680 is now ESPN. Makes sense as they own the facility
Will Radio Disney end up anywhere in Louisville? I knew some of the interns and they always were planning events around town.

Probably not. Disney's business plan has changed. They are spinning off all their stations in smaller markets....20 and below. Someone else may put Disney on as an affiliate, but that would be it.
