WDRE...A Rhythmic reporter???

I dont think this is a problem,,, the station is still playing current Dance, and will continue to do so.. Its no secret that stations that mix in Dance with Rhythm, POP and Rock do better than Pure dance, other than Energy SF, which is an eception given the demos.... I would rather Party have good ratings and make money and still play a bit of dance, then be Pure dance and go bankrupt... I dont know about you guys but im not seeing a whole lot of radio friendly Current Dance with the standard 4x4 beat released in the U.S lately. If there were more Pure Dance records that average listeners could relate with I would be playing them,, thats why I research the Euro Charts, as well as look at songs that Should or could have been hits in the last few years, that were maybe ahead of its time... Z-1035 toronto Knows whats up, and it looks like Party figured it out too.

During the IBS convention, it was mentioned about how dance "purists" knock hip-hop and R&B as not being "dance". I'll admit, guilty as charged on that.

However, the reality is that if dance is going to progress, we also have to embrace R&B and hip-hop. There are more dance remixes involving those genres and should be accepted. Though, unlike most rhythmic reporters that solely stay on hip-hop/R&B, Party 105 does play a good amount of dance music with some material that Pulse doesn't touch. They certainly give local Long Island-based dance artists more of a chance.

Another thing about party being a rhythmic reporter is it will make Dance Songs show up on the Rhythmic Charts... 104.3 Hit FM in Elpaso and Wild 104 in Mcallen, and B-96 all sprinkle in some Dance as well, so this is good to have stations like Party that are Dual Reporters.. Most of the Hip Hop on party is either the Rhythmic POP stuff, or remixes of some of the R&B-POP Ballads... If you want Dance to continue getting slowly accepted then we need to support every station that plays any current Dance.

Agreed! So maybe we won't have that pure dance channel we have been craving for on FM or HD-1, but at least there's Pulse, Party, and all other rhythmic stations playing current dance.

I think we might be seeing more broken beats in the future,,, even the new Amin Van Buren song has a Florida Breakbeat sound... Jumpstyle/Hardstyle, and Dark Tribal House is beginning to show up B-96 Chicagos mix show,,,, And also on Radio Now 100.9 and 103.3 THE X--Modern Rock-- both in my area favor the breakbeat, hard dance, and Drum N Bass lately. Also the David guetta-Love is gone,,, the version that was big at CHR and Rhythmic was the Breakbeat mix.

dude, isn't that ARMAND Van Buren?? :)

Actually, you're BOTH wrong.

It is ARMIN VAN BUUREN :D

And that track "In And Out Of Love" which has been around a couple of months already, reminds me of flooring 90 miles an hour in my car on the Florida Turnpike outside of Orlando! I'm surprised this track wasn't added on CHR stations in the Orlando and Tampa markets.
