It appears as if WDSY (Y108) has re-added the Audacy national midday show Katie & Company after Maria D’Antonio’s departure last week. They briefly carried this show for maybe two years in the earlier part of the decade, in the time they had Maria paired with Stoney Richards and later Cadillac Jack in the morning. I seem to remember that was the era where iHeart’s Big 104.7 (WPGB) started routinely beating WDSY, so who knows if this will once again give WPGB some momentum. They have a national middayer too, but she does local breaks just for Pittsburgh that actually sound quite good, and overall the station has a much better sound and presentation than their competitor up the dial. Maria was the only one left from Y108 predating Audacy’s numerous rounds of restructuring some years ago, and her show was the only thing that kept that station on my presets. She will be missed.

Personally I like the WW1 jock on Froggy, Penny Mitchell. She's been around for years on Dial Global pre WW1.
