WDTN's Carl Nichols retiring

After 30+ years TV2 Chief Meteorologist Carl Nichols is retiring after Friday Jan 9. Nichols reports have also been heard on Clear Channel radio stations.

Don't know...the newspaper article on Carl's leave-taking said he's been part-time for sometime now. It also says he will fill in for the station when needed.

Carl is a fine gentleman, and a great broadcaster. He will be missed by many on a nightly basis, but I'm sure if he pops up on camera from time to time, there are people who will love seeing him.

Carl will definitely be missed. Now I wonder when Jim Baldridge will be retiring from Channel 7. The guy's been on vacation for a month now. ::)

definetly one of the greatest...i will miss his personality when delivering a forEcast a foot of snow! Carl and Jym Ganahl (nbc4) are definetly role models of mine.
