WDUQ Promo Voice

There's a voice heard at the end of most of the promos for shows heard on WDUQ who mentions the days and times that a show can be heard on that station [for example, on promos for Piano Jazz he says "Saturday at 2 on 90.5 DUQ]. Who is that voice? I remember hearing him on 96.9-before it became WRRK-sometime in the '80s.

I don't listen to DUQ but our production voice at Y97 was Bill Rogers, an amazing talent who now operates Bill Rogers Productions in California. You can check out his work at www.billrogersproductions.com .

Bill produced an intro that we ran every night at 7 to open the Classic Trax show that would just give you goosebumps. It included Neil Armstrong's "One Small Step", JFK's "Ask not", and a couple of other sound bites over ELO's "Fire On High".... and you would come out of that huge cold ending and segue into an intro like "Layla"... THAT was fun...

Yes it was me. Thanks for remembering. It is very kind of you to mention me.

When I came to town in 1985 I was first at WPNT then Classy 101 then Magic 97 then Voice of Channel 22 then 3WS then DUQ. Been at DUQ for 19 years now.
