WDWD AM 590 Radio Disney Updates?

It has been over a week since WDWD 590 was forced off the air because of flooding at their transmitter site. Are there any updates of when they will get back on the air? Why hasn't their official web pages on the Radio Disney website not been updated with information and status of the station? The web pages go on listing events and promotional appearances as if nothing has happened. How about at least a note?

Too much red tape to get at least a note cleared by the corporate offices?

Undah da sea, undah da sea, you know it's better, down where it's wetter, undah da sea...

In reference to another Disney picture, it might be "20,000 Leagues Under The Sea". Anyway, it is a tragic thing that they must face along with other businesses in the area trying to get back up and running.

Should have something on this week. Belfor is there cleaning things with an autoclave and chemical bath. A 1kW transmitter is on the way as well as insulators to replace all the broken ones in the phasor and ATUs.

It is a big mess and will be for a few more days. Thanks for the support from everyone who has contacted me to offer help or just check in.

If anyone from FOX 5 or other airborne TV operator is on here I would love to see any of they video they have filmed. They have been over the site everyday since the water peaked. Might have been on the news but I have not been able to watch.

Disney is a big company and the WDWD loss is probably insured--and if not, it's a tax write-off, and not really consequential to Disney's numbers one way or the other.

For all of the small businesses and homeowners in the area, OTOH, most of whom didn't have insurance and don't have the kitty to throw at the problem, it is indeed a tragedy.

Glad to hear that WDWD will be back on the air soon.
