WDXX Dixie 100.1 Selma, Al Took a beating from jan. 12th tornado

From their Facebook page of Prattville Alive

Our parent radio station Dixie Country 100.1 FM took a hit by the Selma tornado. Just talked to Mike Reynolds and everyone at the radio station is OK. The cars in the parking lot at the station received severe damage and the building took a hit as well. Downtown Selma got crushed hard. The station will be off the air for a while. Will give more updates as I get them.
and an update
UPDATE: There is significant damage to the transmission antennas and receiver dishes on top of the studios of Dixie Country 100.1 FM in downtown Selma. Will reevaluate the situation in the morning but the station could be off the air for an extended period of time. The fortunate thing is that everyone at the station building are safe. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the city of Selma, the people of the affected areas Autauga County, and everyone that this horrible storm affected.

Glad everyone is safe, best of luck to Mike Reynolds on getting the station back on the air ASAP and serving the community, Selma took a beating that almost leveled the entire area.

Well sir, I'm happy to announce that Jesus Radio Selma 93.3 FM and ALEX FM 100.9 FM are still on the air. :) All I suffered was a few minutes of a power outage. To God be the Glory for sparing this radio station, from any new issues.

Glad to hear you are safe.

WBFZ 105.3 FM also took a hit. Don't know when this station or WDXX/WHBB will return. Will keep you posted.

P.S. Just so you know, I took a tour of the damaged areas today, along Broad Street, J.L. Chestnut, Jr. Blvd (WBFZ's Studio Location) and Marie Foster Street and man it looked bad. Hope everyone affected will stay safe as they recover from the damage. For pics visit: Войдите на Facebook and Войдите на Facebook

Here's a few more pics from the tornado that stuck Selma: https://www.selmatimesjournal.com/2...elma-tornado-and-aftermath-fill-social-media/ and selmasun.com | Selma Sun. These two sources have all kinds of pics from the damage that occurred here.

P.S. The tower in the top pic belongs to WDXX/WHBB. (Featured on that first link) It's the one they use for transmitting their signal. You'll see it at the top part of that photo.

Just so you know, I don't have a pic but WBFZ's studio took a major hit. Their transmitting tower fell and the studio was almost demolished. Some of the building is still standing however. This station is located on J.L. Chestnut Blvd. Another part of Selma that was hit hard.
