Hartford/New Haven We Didn't Start the Fire by Billy Joel on 102.9 The Whale

I have noticed is people that grew up listening to classic rock listened to much more over the years. A classic rocker I was listening to played Drift Away by Dobie Gray. I knew a guy at the station and was told they threw one of those in every 4 hours. The songs did well when released and remain testing well and having appeal to 'classic rockers'. Not sure how they figured that last part.
