We Must Be Whacked!

Nurse Jeff and I actually liked Gaydos Unplugged Sunday afternoon on KT'R. What's wrong with us? After struggling through the audio portion of Mc12's Meet The Press; listening to a PSA urging early registration for the Bond Election (um..that was last week); and trying to figure out why The Men In Secret Underwear are mentioning individual listeners ("..thanks Weird Mary of Glendale for listening to KT'R.."), Gaydos was a refreshing change. Now if only we could get used to Barry Markson subbing for the Nearly Bald One on KFYI! Then you'll know we're really whacked!

Actually, if you get used to Barry Markson, you'll know you're settling for small market radio.

There's a reason that Markson continues to host a show called the "Fantasy Forum". He keeps fantasizing he has talent.

You might want to make sure your exhaust is not piped into the vents of the 'ol AMC Gremlin. That could cause 'radio euphoria', which, if left untreated, makes average-sounding (Gaydos, average...I don't mean that like it sounds) hosts sound like actual, PHX-sized talent.

Big "L" on my forehead...

...but finally I will confess that St. Patrick's Night, I was driving home around 9:30PM and tuned to 1310...I know, I know...but so little local anymore--I was desperate to seek and find someone!
Why the two folks on mikes with Jeffry O' who did nothing but laugh? I don't like laugh tracks on TV, either. The incessant laughter was more annoying than engaging. Was I just in a bad mood?

They are not meant to be a laugh track...
we are all just hanging out doing our thing.

I hate laugh tracks on TV too.

But as for Sam, he really is just like that... you should see him at lunch.

Norma... I dont know yet.. she is new and still coming out of her shell.

I encourage them both to contribute, but they are both pretty new.

This is not the first time this has been said about these and anyone else that has been on the show with me in the last 4 years.

I dunno what to say.

I am just trying to find my way... find a combination that works.

I like having people around me who are into the same humor and stuff that I am.

My rule has always been, laugh if its funny... dont if its not.

There is nothing worse than fake laughter...

And to give you a little more inside info... neither are paid.

So they are not laughing just to get paid... they are laughing because they are having fun.

We are all just there to have some fun and see where it goes.

Hopefully you were just in a bad mood and could give me another chance.

I would like to hear your opinions.

Infact anyone who wants to offer constructive critiques are welcome to do the same. Advice is good. Opinions are too. I dont pretend to know everything and I dont have your typical radio ego.

I want to learn and I want to someday be better.

Although... E-mail would be nicer than getting hacked up in a public forum though...

Look forward to hearing from you.

Jeffry
