We should hold a Wake!

I agree. 96 Rock has been a big part of my life since its inception... :(

We should be holding a Wake for 96 Rock......a drunkin' cryin' Wake for an ol' friend!
96 Rock.....we hardly knew yee......

Am I this old? I feel like a loyal Ludlow listener the night David Paul went on the air…

It would be fitting if the last song was Baba O'Riley.

oh tom,

as i posted on another thread, 96 rock was murdered a few years back. it's just taken a little while for the body to decay properly.

ah, the good old days. i want my youth back!!!

I grew up listening to this station. Hell, I was born in '74! This just doesn't seem right. :'(

No, it really doesnt seem right. What really bothers me is the conventional wisdom that this is the RIVER's doing. I'm not into the whole "Clear Channel execs are stupid" conspiracy theory, but what does it say about a radio company that let start-up DRECK like the RIVER dictate what it would do to a 32-year heritage station?

The fellas at Cox Radio will never have a wilder Christmas party than they will this year!

Radio is no longer flesh and blood; it’s becoming a playlist on a media server connected to an antenna run by suits.

Nothing lasts forever. RIP 96Rock.
