"WEAN Means Music"

I totally forgot that station ever existed until you brought it up. I remember certain things about but have no recollection of others. It was probably late 70's or early 80's & I think it was AC. I don't remember who the jocks were, but it was tightly formatted to the point of being too restrictive. The jocks had very limited talk time but seemed to be required to be as clever as possible in as few seconds as possible so there were lots of one-liners just being thrown out there in 10 seconds or less. WEAN MEANS MUSIC was more of a low key shout than anything else. I don't even know how long it lasted, but it seemed to me they had a decent staff that was uncomfortable with the way they had to do things. How off base am I?

You have a great memory! So great, in fact, I think you worked there or maybe at WJAR or maybe at WPRO!!
It was 1974-1975.

Was that the same WEAN that was all news? They would still have been all news in 1974-1975 I think unless they flipped from news to music and back to news again.

WEAN mean music was 74-75 then they switched to the short lived NBC NIS News format which lasted about a year,
