Weather Channel SD - Down on Comcast

I've been alternating between being awake and asleep since 4AM and since that time Weather Channel SD on my COMCAST system in Bristol, CT has been down for the most part. It's just a black screen and occasionally local Weather Channel Weather will appear at the bottom of the screen. They still have Local on the 8's but it's running late so it's Weather on the 0's. After that it's back to the black screen. While I don't subscribe to Weather Channel HD, I can get their audio on Channel 289 and they're on the air as normal including Local on the 8s on the 8s.

Who cares? The Weather Channel has become a waste of bandwidth these days, just like most other cable channels.
I say, go online for your weather fix.

Whatever the problem was it's fixed now. Weather Channel SD is back as of 8:15AM.

Whew, I was getting worried there!

Maybe there was something wrong at the network, or something -- apparently, the Weatherstar software at Comcast was still receiving cues and data to display the local forecasts. If there was a signal outage, ordinarily the headend would get nothing.

Anyone else other than Comcast had problems?

Example: their new "Weather And A Movie" programming on Friday nights.
