Weather Dog Ad

CBS 19 has taken out a full-page add in the Tyler and Longview newspapers featuring Stormy the wx pup. Above the fold are pictures and copy on the on-air news people, and Stormy occupies the lower half of the page. Almost looks as if he is fenced in below the fold. One might say Stormy now has his
paper(s).

The station is also running promos with the Classics Four song, "Stormy" running under.

I have a feeling that a Dallas market station(See: Fox 4/WFAA 8) will pick up on this trend and bring in a furry friend to predict the weather sooner or later.

The Doors "Riders on the storm" would be better. Lyric: " into this house your born, give the dog a bone".

Proposed Newspaper ad; " Keeping you aware of poodles so the little ones won't step in them on the way to school'In Texas the weather can get Ruff at any moment,it can rain cats and dogs one moment, sunny skies the next. You need a dependable watchdog to stand guard and point you in the right direction for weather information."

And this being the South, got to make room somewhere for road kill. Run over Arnie and bring him on camera in his disarticulated form.
