Weather is Hellish, Where is Mellish?

Unfortunately Kirk Mellish is on vacation until next week. To add to that the person filling in for him, David Chandley was heading WSB TV's coverage of the event. This is why I think WSB TV and WSB AM should combine their weather team so that there is someone always there when Kirk Mellish cannot be live. In the very least what WSB should have done was run a simulcast with Channel 2.

UGH!!! TV's coverage was a mass of blathering overkill with numerous visual references to large yellow and orange map splotches. It looked like someone had stepped on a fruit pizza... in any event, disastrous for radio. It would have sounded cheezy. I did think Scott Slade did a creditable job of extended coverage along with the traffic girl.
