The first time I ever heard about it was back in '96 when it was on KXL, actually. I remember interviewing Dave Thurlow back around '98 or so, and he was a fascinating yet very approachable guy - from local weather minutae to tornado chasing, he's a wealth of knowledge. It was a great short-form program.
